What forces you to go down a slide?

What goes up must come down, right? So, what is it that makes us slip down a slide at the park? Well, here on Earth, we take gravity so for granted that it took an apple falling from a tree to trigger Isaac Newton’s theory of gravitation. Everything on Earth is being pulled downward by gravity.  It not only keeps the Moon moving around the Earth, it also keeps the Earth moving around the Sun. Luckily for us it also keeps us on the ground instead of floating up to the stars. Gravity is a force that keeps things going.

Did you know? Astronauts can lose 1 percent of their bone mass per month in space.

Did you also know? Without gravity bugs like Salmonella get stronger.
