St. Patrick’s Day Fun Facts

Celebrated on March 17th
Saint Patrick was a real saint of the Catholic church, and March 17th was the day of his death.
The Irish flag is orange, green and white.
Four leaf clovers are considered lucky.
There are 10,000 three leaf clovers for ever four leaf clover.
The actual color of Saint Patrick is blue.
The very first St. Patrick’s Day Parade was in Boston not Ireland in 1737.
St. Patrick was born in Ireland, he was actually born in Britain.
Tradition holds that on that day, people who do not wear green are pinched as a reminder to wear green to honor the Emerald Isle.
There are no female leprechauns in traditional folk tales.
